The funny thing about forgetting stuff is that it’s not really that easy to know, know that you’ve forgotten something – haha! It’s true. It hits you like a freaking brick falling from the universe, hits you the last minute to remind you about something. It’s crazy. It’s one of the reasons I try to do everything when I can, to avoid putting stuff away for later.
It’s not the same for all of us, I understand. This is what the team behind Reme also understands, and have created a tiny, yet very efficient platform for helping you to remember things. I couldn’t help but think that it still creates a barrier for those of us who can’t be bothered with checking our emails, or don’t have notifications setup – but perhaps it’s time to reorganize a little bit.
I’ve spotted only one error so far, Reme doesn’t allow to select your own timezone, so it can be a little bit difficult to figure out at which time you should set the alert for. It’s currently using PST as the default timezone, but I’m sure the ability to select your own will be added shortly.
You can see that it’s really easy to set it up, and it doesn’t require registration, or any type of payment to get it started. I’m not sure what the future holds for this project, but it’s worth bookmarking as you never know when stuff will start piling up and reminders will be needed.
Thanks for the article and interest for Reme.io! Right new, the timezone is automatically detected using JS (see Tamas repo here https://github.com/tamaspap/timezones). We will add the possibility to manually change the timezone if needed.
Thanks again for the interest, and keep your feedback coming so we can make it better for you guys!
