WP Shepherd

[box type=”info” width=”100%”] WP Shepherd is a new web based app that allows you to easily keep track of all of your WordPress cores, plugins and themes in one place. The app is designed to take away the time and hassle needed to effectively manage multiple WordPress sites and help you ensure they are up-to-date with the latest versions and kept safe from any potential vulnerabilities. WP Shepherd is looking to make the life easier for web developers and designers alike, who have to work with a lot of WordPress websites at the same time. I myself know how difficult it can be to manage multiple WordPress sites, I’ve drained myself out of energy multiple times by having to update multiple WordPress sites separately.

The sneak preview of WPS shows us that the dashboard is very simple and straightforward. I couldn’t help but ask myself – what the monetize model is going to be like.

It’s still early to talk about the platform, as it’s in early beta.

I was writing this post, and simultaneously checking the WPShep Twitter feed, to find out that there is going to be a blog post written bout the startup – which is now available.

Installation comes in the form of a lightweight plugin and takes just a few moments. Once you’ve added a site to your dashboard, WP Shepherd will securely encrypt and track your site core, plugins and theme data automatically. The easy-to-use dashboard lets you quickly see the health of all your sites at a glance with our traffic light colour coding, and provides powerful filtering and keyword search features to get you to the information you need instantly.

The whole introduction post is quite long – but it’s pretty much a manifesto for the company, it’s exactly what I thought it would be, granted that it’s also being maintained by skilled designers and developers. You’ll love the design WP Shepard is sporting!
