There will be less risk at work and people will get more time to spend with their families, with AI handling everything. There will be a massive rise in support roles and other associated jobs that will revolve around handling, sustaining, maintaining, supervising and upgrading these AI systems and robotic technology. In an ideal world, humans would not need to farm, do manual labour or stress themselves physically. There will definitely be job roles that will completely be obliterated or non-existent.

But, there is good news as well. There will be more than enough jobs that will be popping up that cannot even be imagined now. We already have new job roles that did not exist before due to the recent migration to AI-driven solutions. The more we delve into the world of big data, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, there will always be new tasks that need to be taken care of and there will always be a need for skilled professionals who know how to work with these technologies.

Many working professionals are starting their own businesses, eventually becoming a part of the crowd that will be taking the help of AI-driven systems. So, it is not just that automation is taking over human jobs but instead automation is filling the gap left by humans who are not willing to come back to work. Besides, ideally, with humans only handling safe and easy job roles, the world will be a better place.

In the Nutshell

AI, ML and automation are the future. According to the World Economic Forum, with the importance of AI and data science increasing, more job roles are becoming discovered. By 2022, AI will have directly or indirectly created about 58 million new jobs. Also, by eliminating millions of jobs, automation will definitely give rise to double the number of jobs it will take away.

Machines backed by AI are also not biased (unless they are taught to be) and they do not need any break other than for maintenance purposes. Also, AI is not governed by emotions and does not require additional motivation or incentives to keep working at the required pace. This makes replacing human workers and skilled labour with AI a more viable and cheaper solution.

Machines governed by AI are also faster and more efficient. Even though human interference is required to extract cognizable information from data, AI is also much better at analytics and offers more accuracy. For instance, with the help of ML, one can use predictive analytics that will be much more true to life than any other form of manual or human forecasting.
